WAPPAPELLO, Mo. -- James "Jim" H. Shirrell, 93, of Wappapello died Friday, July 19, 2002, at the Puxico Nursing Center.
He was born April 21, 1909, at Zalma, Mo., son of Andrew and Francis Talley Shirrell. He and Lillie Davis were married March 11, 1995, at Wappapello.
Shirrell was a retired carpenter. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Ted Shirrell of Ontario, Canada; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son.
Friends may call at the Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, Mo., from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the chapel. The Rev. Ed Shirrell will officiate, with burial in Berrong Cemetery near Gipsy, Mo.
