GRASSY -- James T. Robbins, 67, of Grassy died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 18, 1931, at Grassy, son of Jasper and Iva James Robbins. He and Charlotte E. Cutsinger were married Aug. 4, 1959.
Robbins retired as a maintenance worker at Marble Hat Co., and had also worked in timber.
Survivors include his wife; a son, James Robbins of Cascade; three daughters, Betty Stroup and Ruby Laxton of Cascade, Carol Angel of Marble Hill; and stepmother, Geneva Robbins of Perryville.
Also surviving are three brothers, Rev. Gene Robbins, Rev. Bobby Robbins and Bill Robbins, all of Grassy; two sisters, Pauline Dickerson of Marble Hill, Opal Frymire of Cascade; three stepbrothers, Homer Chamness of Fort Smith, Ark., Marshall Chamness of Oak Ridge, John Chamness of Perryville; 14 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a sister, a stepsister, and a stepbrother.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill after 4 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Buford Rhodes and Lloyd Green officiating. Burial will be in Grassy Cemetery.
