ORAN, Mo. -- James Walter Richardson, 70, of Chesterfield, Mo., died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001, in Chesterfield. He was born June 19, 1931, at Dexter, Mo., son of C.B. and Eliza Luster Richardson. ORAN, Mo. -- James Walter Richardson, 70, of Chesterfield, Mo., died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001, in Chesterfield.

He was born June 19, 1931, at Dexter, Mo., son of C.B. and Eliza Luster Richardson.

Richardson had been a maintenance worker with Spann Building and Maintenance Co. in St. Louis. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Oran, Mo.

Survivors include his mother, Eliza Lane of Oran; three brothers, Albert Richardson of Wright, Mo., Johnnie Lane of St. Louis, Willie Lane of Sikeston, Mo.; three sisters, Ruby Eskridge of Chicago, Jewell Weakley of Harvey, Ill., and Betty Johnson of Sikeston.

He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers, and a sister.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 6 p.m. Friday.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Robert Smithey officiating. Burial will be in New Morning Star Cemetery at Haywood City, Mo.
