James Donald Revelle, 84, of Jackson died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born May 5, 1928, in Delta, to Melvin E. and Chlora A. McNeely Revelle. He and Christine Brooks were married July 3, 1947. James was a truck driver for Milchem Mining Co., working at the Belgrade and Palmer Mines more than 26 years. He then worked for the U.S. Forest Service in Potosi, Mo., for seven years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Millersville...

James Donald Revelle, 84, of Jackson died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born May 5, 1928, in Delta, to Melvin E. and Chlora A. McNeely Revelle. He and Christine Brooks were married July 3, 1947.

James was a truck driver for Milchem Mining Co., working at the Belgrade and Palmer Mines more than 26 years. He then worked for the U.S. Forest Service in Potosi, Mo., for seven years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Millersville.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1953.

Survivors include his wife of Jackson; a daughter, Anita Ann (Gene) Bishop of Nesbit, Miss.; two sisters, Katy Proctor of Cape Girardeau, Audrey Kitchen of Union, Mo.; and special friends, Dolly and Fred McLain.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Carroll, Russell, and Charles "Mutt"; four sisters, Jean, Jewel, Ruby, and Peggy.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to service time Thursday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Daniel Hale officiating. Burial will be in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, with full military honors.
