James R. Cairy, 64, 2920 Perryville Road, died Monday, Oct. 10, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born May 6, 1930, in Fort Madison, Iowa, son of Fred and Myrrl Meadows Cairy.
Cairy was a 1956 graduate of the University of Missouri, and served in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a credit manager at Einbender's in St. Joseph, and was a buyer and merchandise manager of ladies apparel at Jones Store in Kansas City from 1958-70. He became a partner at Hecht's Store in 1970, and was currently president.
Cairy was a former member of Capital Bank Board of Directors.
Survivors include a sister, Kathryn Gloggner of St. Joseph.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today, and from 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith and Sidenfaden Chapel in St. Joseph.
Funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home in St. Joseph. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at St. Joseph.
