ULLIN, Ill. -- James "Snooky" Pryor, 85, of Ullin died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 15, 1921, in Lambert, Miss., son of James and Jo Willie Pryor. He and Luella Pryor were married Dec. 21, 1941.
Pryor was a retired carpenter and musician.
Survivors include two daughters, Zenobia Newcomb of Ullin, Deborah Pryor of Springs, Ga.; five sons, Jimmie and Alfred Pryor of Ullin, Bernard Pryor of Mounds, Ill., Michael Pryor of Cape Girardeau, Richard Pryor of Carbondale, Ill.; 22 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a grandson and nine siblings.
Friends may call at Massie Funeral Home in Mounds from 11 a.m. to service time Saturday.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in West Side Cemetery in Ullin.
