BELL CITY -- James Paul "Bun" Jennings, 82, died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 1994, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Jennings was born March 6, 1912, in Bell City to the late Thomas Allen and Ruth Ann Oakley Jennings.
He spent his entire life in the Bell City community. He was graduated from the Bell City High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University. Jennings was a retired farmer who worked for the Cotton Belt Railroad. He also taught school at Collinger in the early 1940s.
He married Estelle Garner Dec. 28, 1931. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Boyd and Larry Jennings, both of Bell City; two daughters, Joyce King and Brenda Stanfield, both of Cape Girardeau; one brother, Dwight Jennings of Bell City; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Four brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call today after 5 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Revs. Ted Stone officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
