JACKSON -- Funeral for James L. Osborne of Jackson will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Barkett Funeral Home in Mound City, Ill. The Rev. F. Jerry Herring will officiate. Burial will be in U.S. National Cemetery at Mound City.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. Monday.
Osborne, 58, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Feb. 11, 1941, at Oran, son of William and Myrtle Dowdy Osborne.
Osborne retired as a machinist with Clark Equipment Co. He served in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Dietrich of Charlotte, N.C.; two sons, Rob and James Osborne of Statesville, N.C.; three sisters, Norma Glenn of Mound City, Novella Warden of Jackson, Dorothy Essex of Ashton, Ill.; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
