BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- James "Jimmy" Edward Nenninger, 68, of Bloomfield passed away Friday, Nov. 20, 2020, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 19, 1952, in Bloomfield, the son of Edward Henry and Agnes Christine VanGennip Nenninger.

Jimmy retired in 2018 from Nestle Purina near Bloomfield after working as a lineman for 25 years. He had also been a lifelong farmer. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Advance, Missouri, and the Advance Knights of Columbus. He was a graduate of Bell City (Missouri) High School.

He enjoyed spending time at flea markets and loved playing bingo.

Jimmy had a heart of gold and would give to anyone. His kind and caring ways made him friends with everyone; he had never met a stranger.

Survivors include a brother, David Nenninger of Bloomfield; three sisters, Margie Seiler of Morgantown, Kentucky, his twin sister, Janet Eftink of Oran, Missouri, and Betty Lewis of Bell City; six nephews; three nieces; his best friend, Rick Beussink of Advance; and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Kenneth Nenninger; two nephews; and a niece.

Private family services will be held today at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Advance, with Father Joseph Kelly officiating the Mass. Burial will follow at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Morgan Funeral Home in Advance is in charge of all arrangements.
