CHARLESTON -- James B. Moran Sr., 77, of Charleston died Monday, Feb. 17, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born May 22, 1919, at Bloomfield, son of Verner W. and Ida Blair Moran. He and Louise "Til" Atteberry were married June 14, 1946.
Moran was chief executive officer of Citizens Bank from 1959-92. He was a member and past president of Charleston Chamber of Commerce, and had served on the Housing Authority Board.
He was a member of First Baptist Church and served as treasurer many years, member of Masonic Lodge 407 AF&AM, Lions Club, American Legion, and VFW Post 4294. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Blair Moran of Sikeston; two daughters, Laurie Arnold of Winnemucca, Nev., Frances Moran of Medford, Ore.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Gerald Collier officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
