James McDaniel
James McDaniel, 46, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Scott City, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 4, 1963, in Cairo, Ill., to Jesse and Betty Calvin McDaniel. He married Teresa Phillips on July 18, 2003.
McDaniel worked for Jerry Lipps Trucking more than 20 years before moving to Ryder Trucking.
Survivors include his wife; a stepson, Michael Mirgaux of Scott City; two stepdaughters, Ashley Gentry and Amber Crook of Scott City; his mother, Betty McDaniel of Tamms, Ill.; a brother, Ricky (Cathy) McDaniel of Tamms; two sisters, Susan (Lee) Mowery of Tamms and Nancy (George) Henderson of Thebes, Ill.; a brother-in-law, Melvin (Dana) Phillips of Columbia, Mo.; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Charlotte Vaughn.
Visitation will be from 4 to 5 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home, 829 N. West End Blvd. in Cape Girardeau.
A memorial service will be at 5 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Lil Phillips officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
