James Nicholas "Nick" Marsh III, 79, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Benton, Kentucky, died Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born March 21, 1935, in Benton, to James N. and Mae Evelyn Fisher Marsh Sr. He and Delphine Stevens were married April 8, 1956, in Corinth, Mississippi.
James retired from ISP Chemical in Calvert City, Kentucky. He was a member of International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Lodge 1720.
Survivors include his wife, Delphine Marsh of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Andrea Marsh of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren, Sara Jaster and Thomas Jaster II of Cape Girardeau, and Dustin Busby of Minnesota; a brother, Robert Fisher Marsh Sr. of Benton, two sisters, Mary Dean Schoborg of Calvert City, a sister, Martha Ann Fiske of Benton; and an uncle, Benedict B. Marsh of Erlanger, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Marshall County Memory Gardens in Benton, with Ron Hicks officiating.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements in Cape Girardeau.
Filbeck-Cann and King Funeral Home will handle arrangements in Benton.
