James G. "Pete" Malone, 61, of Sikeston died Sunday, July 11, 1999, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. He was born Sept. 26, 1937, at St. Louis, son of James Lacui and Virginia Baker Malone. He was a self-employed pilot and had served in the U.S. Air Force. He was former assistant director of aviation for the state of Missouri, a member of the Confederate Air Force and a past member of the Sikeston Jaycees...

James G. "Pete" Malone, 61, of Sikeston died Sunday, July 11, 1999, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born Sept. 26, 1937, at St. Louis, son of James Lacui and Virginia Baker Malone.

He was a self-employed pilot and had served in the U.S. Air Force. He was former assistant director of aviation for the state of Missouri, a member of the Confederate Air Force and a past member of the Sikeston Jaycees.

He is survived by a son, Peter Malone of Marion, Ark.; a daughter, Melanie Fite of Munford, Tenn.,; his fiancee, Peggy Matthews Ingram of Sikeston; and two grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston. The Rev. Jim Davis will officiate, with burial in the Sikeston City Cemetery.
