JAMES LAWRENCE

ADVANCE -- James F. Lawrence, 81, of Advance died Tuesday, May 27, 1997, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter.

He was born March 16, 1916, in Perry County, Ind., son of John A. and Gladys McDaniel Lawrence. He and Luella C. Coomer were married July 25, 1939, at Benton.

Lawrence retired as a certified timber worker. He was a member of Advance VFW Post 7750. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; two brothers, Charlie Lawrence of Boise, Idaho, and Ivan Lawrence of Bloomfield.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, three brothers, and a half sister.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. Friday.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Keith Price and Lloyd Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery at Marble Hill.
