Retired Col. James F. Lambert, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Nov. 10, 1919, in Winfield, Ala., son of Hiram David and Wilhama Walker Lambert. He and Claudine Keesee were married April 10,1982.
Lambert attended Bethel Assembly of God Church. He was formerly of Marble Hill, Mo.
He served 28 years in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Foster Campbell of Yuba City, Calif.; a stepson, John Turner of Perryville, Mo.; two stepdaughters, Deborah Shain of Jackson, Mo., Gina Salzmann of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Bill Lambert of Sikeston, Mo.; two sisters, Freda Grant and Margaret Waters of Sikeston; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, six brothers and three sisters.
There is no visitation.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill is in charge of arrangements.
