VILLA RIDGE, Ill. -- James L. "Pete" Winding, 77, of Villa Ridge, died Thursday, April 20, 1995, at Meridian Manor in Mounds.
He was born July 12, 1917, in Sikeston, son of Louie and Carrie Carter Winding. He and Lorene E. Edwards were married in 1935. She died April 29, 1981.
Winding was a retired tire salesman.
Survivors include four sons, James "Jim" Winding of Olmsted, Robert "Bob" Winding of Mounds, Gordon Winding of Mt. Vernon, Carl "Pete" Winding of Villa Ridge; a sister, Hazel Goins of Wetaug; 14 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery near Pulaski.
