SIKESTON -- Funeral service for James Lee McAfee of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Marvin Buttrum will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until time of service.

McAfee, 49 years old, died Tuesday, April 9, 1991, at Chaffee General Hospital.

He was born Jan. 23, 1942, in East Prairie, son of Frank G. and Alfrieda Browning McAfee. He and the former Linda K. Sills were married Nov. 8, 1964, at Charleston.

McAfee was former director of community services in Lehigh, Fla., and charter member of Kiwanis Club there. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Sikeston, and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Marcia Hickman of Sikeston, Regina Moore of New Madrid, Angela McAfee of the home; his parents of Sikeston Route 4; a brother, Arnold McAfee of East Prairie; a sister, Loretta Chandler of Caruthersville, and a grandson, Blake Hickman of Sikeston.
