James Robert Kuehn, 70, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, May 21, 2011, at his home.
He was born Sept. 12, 1940, in Cape Girardeau to John Michael and Jeannita Goze Kuehn.
He and Martha Jane Martin were married April 18, 1964, at Jackson.
James worked for Superior Electric from January 1957 to August 1982. He later worked for Blair Packaging in Scott City from December 1983 to September 2007.
He was an avid fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Jane Kuehn of Cape Girardeau; two sons, James Earl Kuehn (Jena) of Pocahontas, Dennis Roy Kuehn (Donna) of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Martha Marie Tucker (Tracy) of McClure, Ill.; two brothers, John Kuehn of Cape Girardeau, Tom Kuehn of Fruitland; five granddaughters; one grandson; one great-grandson; one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Gus, Joe and Bill Kuehn; and six sisters, Francis Milz, Clare Kuehn, Rose Marie Welker, Geraldine Brenneaker, Helen Felty and Kate Gilbar.
Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Kim L. Ferguson officiating.
Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
