PUXICO, Mo. -- James Edward Keena, 73, of rural Puxico died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001, at his home.
He was born March 16, 1928, at Wappapello, Mo., the son of Tom and Stella Smith Keena. He married Leta Williams on Oct. 29, 1955, at Puxico. She survives.
He was a farmer and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He also is survived by two sons, Terry Keena of Magness, Ark., and Tim Keena of Puxico; a daughters, Dixie McCollum of Bloomfield, Mo.; three brothers, the Rev. Melvin Keena of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Henry Keena of Bloomfield and Glen Keena of Davis, Okla.; a sister, Helen Branch of Pevely, Mo.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, a daughter and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo.
Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with Rusty Jones officiating.
Burial will be at Chalk Bluff Cemetery near Dexter.
