Irvin, 89, died Monday, Aug. 17, 1992, at Salt River Nursing Home in Shelbina.

He was born May 29, 1903, near East Prairie. He and Alice Louise Bennett were married Nov. 16, 1929. She died Dec. 14, 1930.

Survivors include a son, Clarence Irvin of St. Louis; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
