CHAFFEE -- James (Willie) Hunter, 71, of Chaffee, died Thursday, June 18, 1992, at his home.
He was born Sept. 25, 1920, at Whitewater, son of Homer and Rebecca Hampton Hunter. He and Mary Martin were married July 27, 1940. She died Jan. 11, 1980.
Hunter was a clerk and fireman with Frisco and Burlington Northern Railroad Co., retiring in September 1980.
He was a member of Chaffee Elks 1810, United Transportation Union, and Brotherhood of Railway Clerks.
Survivors include a son, Jim Hunter of Chaffee, and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, grandchild and brother.
There is no visitation.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. The Rev. Arvil Huffman will officiate, with burial in St. Ambrose Church Cemetery.
