James Howell Jr.

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- James E. Howell Jr., 55, of Marble Hill died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 26, 1951, in Cape Gir­ar­deau, son of James E. and Betty Jaco Howell Sr. He and Shawne C. Grisham were married July 1, 1995, at Marble Hill.

Howell was a carpenter, and attended Hurricane Fork General Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother, Betty Storie of Glenallen, Mo.; maternal grandmother, Alice Jaco of Marble Hill; his wife; two sons, Jason Ulitschan of Kansas City, Mo., Jim Howell of Independence, Mo.; four daughters, Amy Williams and Jennifer Volkmann of Independence, Mo., Becky Farnsworth of Blue Springs, Mo., Katie Kirkpatrick of Marble Hill; and a stepdaughter, Brittany Kirkpatrick of Vanduser, Mo.

Also a brother, Jerry Howell of Marble Hill; two half brothers, Raymond Storie of Marble Hill, Harley Storie of Glenallen; two sisters, Diane Utt and JoAnn Howell of Glenallen; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and maternal grandfather.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, and from 9 a.m. to service time Wednesday at Hurricane Fork Church.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Revs. Stephen Sander and Robert Lincoln officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
