CHAFFEE, Mo. -- James R. "Rudy" Hepler, 33, of Lowden, Iowa, died Monday, Feb. 13, 2006, at Genesis East Medical Center in Davenport, Iowa.
He was born Aug. 25, 1972, in Maryland, son of Fred L. and Brenda Moore Hepler. He and Diana Shocker were married April 5, 2003.
Hepler attended high school in Hampton, Iowa, and North Iowa Community College in Mason City. He was a salesman.
Survivors include his wife; a son, James, a daughter, Michelle; mother, Brenda Hepler of Detroit, Mich., and formerly of Chaffee; father and stepmother, Fred and Amy Hepler of Champaign, Ill.; three stepsisters, Erin Owen of Austin, Texas, Betsy Lenzi of Chicago, and Natalie Lenzi of Champaign.
The funeral was held Feb. 16 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wheatland, Iowa. The Rev. Loied Keever officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
