CHARLESTON -- James Hubert Robinson, 53, of Charleston, died Friday, Oct. 14, 1994, at Ellis Fischel Cancer Center in Columbia.

He was born May 17, 1941, in Charleston, son of Cassie and Elzora Bynum Robinson. He and Erma Bell were married Oct. 26, 1980.

Robinson served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife; two stepsons, Richard Bell of Sikeston, Rickey Bell of Charleston; three brothers, Willis Robinson of San Bernardino, Calif., Lawrence Robinson of Gary, Ind., and Andrew Robinson of Charleston.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sparks Funeral Home, with the Rev. Wiley Reed officiating.
