PADUCAH, Ky. -- James Franklin Graham Jr., 77, of Paducah died Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at Paducah. He was a retired shop superintendent with the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy. He was chairman of the senior citizens board, a volunteer at Western Baptist Hospital and a member of other groups including the Paducah Parks Department Auxiliary, the RSVP program, Red Cross and United Way...

PADUCAH, Ky. -- James Franklin Graham Jr., 77, of Paducah died Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at Paducah.

He was a retired shop superintendent with the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy. He was chairman of the senior citizens board, a volunteer at Western Baptist Hospital and a member of other groups including the Paducah Parks Department Auxiliary, the RSVP program, Red Cross and United Way.

Survivors include his wife, Jewell Marie Sibley Graham of Paducah; a son, James Everett Graham of Paducah; two daughters, Shirley Ann Essner of Benton, Mo., Linda Faye Thompson of Stockbridge, Ga.; a sister, Nancy Trueman of Austin, Texas; two brothers, Rogers Tracy Graham and Joe Edward Graham, both of Vicksburg, Miss.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home in Paducah.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Garrett officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens at Paducah.
