SIKESTON -- James Allen Francis, 32, of Sikeston died Wednesday, April 9, 1997, at Missouri Delta Medical Center, from complications of pneumonia. He was born June 3, 1964, in Dexter, son of John Gerald and Mary Lou Scott Francis. Francis was paralyzed in a diving accident in 1981 at Kentucky Lake. After obtaining his General Education Degree, he attended Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff and Todd-Comp Computer School in Columbia...

SIKESTON -- James Allen Francis, 32, of Sikeston died Wednesday, April 9, 1997, at Missouri Delta Medical Center, from complications of pneumonia.

He was born June 3, 1964, in Dexter, son of John Gerald and Mary Lou Scott Francis.

Francis was paralyzed in a diving accident in 1981 at Kentucky Lake. After obtaining his General Education Degree, he attended Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff and Todd-Comp Computer School in Columbia.

He was a unit clerk eight years at the Rusk Rehabilitation Center of the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics. Francis moved back to Sikeston in 1995.

Survivors include his father of Bardwell, Ky.; his mother of Sikeston; paternal grandmother, Gladys Francis, and maternal grandmother, Doris Tejeda, both of Sikeston.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Larry Davis officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at the chapel after 9 a.m. Friday.
