JONESBORO, Ill. -- James W. Fox, 71, of Jonesboro died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2002, at the Southeast Missouri Hospital.
Born March 4, 1930, in Anna, Ill., he was the son of Lawrence and Ethel Darnell Fox.
On July 25, 1964, he was married to Mildred Pender.
Fox worked for the City of Jonesboro, and also had worked for Transcraft. He was a past member of the Jonesboro Fire Department and was a member of the Faith Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Jackie Sharpe of Pekin, Ill., Rena Hileman of Anna; two stepsons, Bobbie Bracken of Jonesboro, Will Bracken of Anna; a stepdaughter, Helen Bracken of Jonesboro; two sisters, Marie Miller of Anna and Hazel Morrow of Brookport, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, a sister and two sons.
Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home.
Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Stamp officiating. Burial will be in the Anna Cemetery.
