Funeral service for James F. Dalton of Silver Spring, Md., will be held at 1 p.m. today at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home there. Burial will be in a Silver Spring cemetery. He was born Dec. 6, 1915, in Farmington, son of Henry M. and Belle DeGrant Dalton. He was reared in Cape Girardeau and graduated from Central High School.

Dalton had lived in Washington, D.C., and Silver Spring for a number of years.

Survivors include his wife, Jackie; two sons, Gary and James Dalton Jr., two daughters, Jody Dalton and Cara Logan, all of Silver Spring; a brother, Warren Dalton of Cape Girardeau, and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
