JAMES ELDER

OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- James A. Elder, 56, of Olive Branch died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 28, 1943, in Mounds, Ill., son of James G. and Alice Johnson Elder.

Elder was a retired certified welder from EEI Co. in Metropolis, Ill.

Survivors include a son, Tony Elder of Mounds; his mother of Olive Branch, Ill.; and a brother, Glenn Elder of Versailles, Ky.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation and disposition will be private.
