ESSEX -- James E. Rodgers, 63, of Essex died Saturday, July 1, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born May 28, 1932, in Essex, the son of James Clifford and Iris Winnie Nichols Rodgers. On Sept. 12, 1953, he married Shirley Annette Burnett in Bloomfield.
Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Vicky Helgemo of Dexter, Darlene Bodi and Christine Eubanks of New Madrid, Kathy Ritch of Gray Ridge and Jamie Rodgers of Essex; a brother, Larry Rodgers of Essex; a sister, Lois Ogan of Frankton, Ind.; a half-brother, Randall Eaton of Detroit; and a half-sister, Helen Davis of Bloomfield.
He was preceded in death by a half-brother, Tracy Eaton.
Friends may call between 4 and 8 tonight at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Doyle Burnett officiating. Burial will follow in Essex Cemetery.
