MORLEY, Mo. — James Eugene Dodd Sr., 67, of Morley died Friday, April 28, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 31, 1949, in Bell City, Missouri, to the late Cleveland and Maggie Ann Cochran Dodd. He married Effie Daniels on Feb. 28, 1970.
James owned and operated Dodd’s Pest Control in Oran, Missouri.
He is survived by his wife; a son, James (Julie) Dodd Jr. of Bloomfield, Missouri; two daughters, Kim (Kip) Lafferty of Aquila, Missouri, and Christy (William) Dowdy of Bloomfield; a brother, Jimmy Dodd of California; a sister, Mamie Cowger of Sikeston, Missouri; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by six brothers, a sister and five grandchildren.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service Monday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Oran.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jeff Dodd officiating. Burial will be in Bloomfield City Cemetery in Bloomfield.
