James Lee Dickerson, 48, of Scott City died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri.

He was born Nov. 23, 1969, in Cape Girardeau to James Ray and Wanda Lee Sprenger Dickerson.

James had worked for Lee-Rowan in Jackson. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

He is survived by his mother, Wanda Dickerson of Scott City; a son, James Lee Dickerson Jr. of St. Louis; a daughter, Ashley Elizabeth Dickerson of Waterloo, Illinois; two grandchildren, Xavier and Nicholas Dickerson, with two more on the way; a sister, Laura (Gregg) Daniels of Scott City; and two half sisters, Melissa Dickerson and Katherine Dickerson--Williamson of St. Louis.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Randy Morse officiating.
