SCOTT CITY -- James Donald Kjer, 63, Scott City Route 1, died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born June 19, 1929, at Illmo, son of Eric and Eva Cantrell Kjer. He and Patricia Thress were married Oct. 19, 1981, at Benton.
Kjer was a retired brakeman with Cotton Belt Railroad.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Sheila Nation and Kathy Kjer of Scott City, Cindy Jeffries of Festus; a sister, Georgia Puchbauer of Scott City, and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Roger Leveillee will officiate, with burial in Lightner Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
