VILLA RIDGE, Ill. -- James "Jim" C. Crow, 76, of Mounds, Ill., died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 19, 1927, at Mounds, son of the late Leonard Crow and the late Erma Daniels Crow Guy. He and Virginia Junkerman were married on Nov. 16, 1946, at Mounds.
Crow was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a retired supervisor with Illinois Mineral Plant at Elco, Ill.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Steve Crow; two brothers, Lonnie Crow of Mounds and Donald Crow of Boise, Idaho; a sister, Wanda Austin of Scott City; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Jerry Herring will officiate, with burial in the Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge. Full military honors will be given by Pulaski County VFW Post 8891.
