MORLEY, Mo. -- James Crawford, 73, of Morley died Saturday, July 30, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
He was born Dec. 12, 1931, in East Prairie, Mo., son of James David and Juanita Pruit Crawford. He and Beatrice Brashear were married June 29, 1954.
Crawford served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, James Crawford of Morley, Christopher Crawford of Portageville, Mo.; four daughters, Charlotte Gaskins, Mary Lee Bell and Janet Ivy of Sikeston, Mo., Kathy Sherriff of Portageville; three brothers, George and Ray Crawford of Sikeston, Dan Crawford of Kennett, Mo.; five sisters, Dorothy Florence, Ruth Ann Jefferies and Nita Robinson of Sikeston, Linda Cole of Blodgett, Mo., Joan Poche of Louisiana; a brother, Lawrence Brashear; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, with the Rev. Jim Eskew and John Benning officiating. Burial will be in New Morley Cemetery.
