SIKESTON -- James L. Cox, 73, of Sikeston died Monday, Jan. 5, 1998, at Clearview Nursing Center.

He was born June 17, 1924, in Sikeston, son of William F. and Mary Ann Cunningham Cox. He and Mary Olivia Perry were married in 1945. She died Oct. 10, 1974.

Cox had worked at Armor Moving Storage Co. He attended Murray Lane Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Mike Cox of Sikeston; a sister, Helen Lee of Arnold; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister and five brothers.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel after 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Kelley Grubbs officiating. Burial will be in Sikeston City Cemetery.
