DUDLEY -- James "Jim" Corzine, 93, died Monday, June 23, 1997, at Bloomfield Nursing Center in Bloomfield.
He was born Sept. 21, 1903, near Gypsy, son of John Wesley and Martha Jackson Corzine. He and Lela Jane Lawrence were married in May 1960. She died July 9, 1986.
Corzine lived most of his life in Dudley, and was a retired sawmill worker and farmer. He was a member of Emmanuel Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include four stepdaughters, Ollie Gaultney of Wilkesboro, N.C., Melba Bryant, Mary Dugger and Darlene Parks, all of Dudley; five stepsons, Freddie Dillinger and Winford Whitaker of Dudley, Lorenzo and Raymond Sandlin of Poplar Bluff, Lloyd Sandlin of Corning, Ark.; a brother, Al Corzine of Dexter; 30 stepgrandchildren; 42 great-stepgrandchildren; and a great-great-stepgrandchild.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bud Meadows officiating. Burial will be in Dudley Cemetery.
