James Brown

SIKESTON, Mo. -- James E. "Joe" Brown, 67, of Sikeston died Monday, April 28, 2003, at his home.

He was born May 27, 1935, in Sikeston, son of James E. and Kathleen Monan Brown. He and Ruth Loveless were married Sept. 3, 1960, in Sikeston.

Brown was a painter with his father and brothers until becoming disabled. He was a charter member of Eagles Aerie 3319.

Survivors include his wife; two brothers, Bobby Brown of Las Vegas, Nev., Terry Brown of Sikeston; three sisters, Jackie Lasters of Memphis, Tenn., Billie Woods of Bertrand, Mo., and Marilyn Burch of Sikeston.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

There is no visitation or funeral.
