Graveside service for James Willard Bohnsack of Cape Girardeau will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Cape County Memorial Park. Dr. Clayton Smith will officiate. Military rites will be conducted by VFW Post 3838.

There is no visitation.

Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Bohnsack, 83, died Monday, Oct. 16, 2000, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Services of Cape Girardeau.

He was born Oct. 31, 1916, at Allenville, Mo., son of Fritz Frederick and Myrtle Withers Bohnsack. He and Allie Barnett were married in 1977. She died in 1981.

Bohnsack had been a construction worker. He was a member of VFW Post 3838. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include a stepson, James Barnett of Arkansas; a stepdaughter, Betty Copeland of St. Louis; two sisters, Virginia Fenimore of Cape Girardeau and Mae Enke of Jackson, Mo.

He was preceded in death by a brother.
