OLMSTED, Ill. -- James Bagby, 82, of Olmsted died Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Mr. Bagby was a member of Olmsted United Methodist Church and was a Sunday school teacher several years. He retired as foreman at Golden Cat Inc. in Olmsted, and had also been a truck driver with Martin Oil Co. several years.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Schwieger Bagby of Olmsted; a daughter, Ruth Ann (Michael) Allcock of Cape Girardeau; a son, James E. (Jan) Bagby of Paducah, Ky.; three grandchildren, Jimmy Bagby, Janna Childress, Darren Allcock; three great-grandchildren, Kristin Nace, Blake Bagby and Ashlea Sontag; and a great-grandchild, Aiden Nace.
Mr. Bagby was preceded in death by his parents, James and Joyce Knupp Bagby; a grandson, Joey Bagby; and a great-grandson, Michael Childress.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak, Ill.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Pete Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge, Ill.
