PERRYVILLE -- James B. Watts, 80, of Perryville, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 1999, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 2, 1919, at Portia, Ark., son of Charles "Buster" and Maud Anderson Watts.
He and Viola E. Sutton were married Jan. 18, 1939.
He was a retired high school teacher. He was a member of the American Legion and served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.Survivors included his wife; two sons, Sam P. Watts and James B. Watts, both of Perryville; a daughter, Betty Herford of Angleton, Tex.; a half-sister, Sarah Mathews of Arkansas; 7 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. at Young & Sons Chapel, and Monday from 6:30 a.m. until service time.
Funeral will be held at Monday at 10 a.m. at the chapel, with the Rev. Ed Hankinson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Forest Cemetery in Black Rock, Ark.
