JAMES B. GARRETT

BELL CITY -- James B. Garrett, 68, Bell City Route 1, died Wednesday, June 26, 1991, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 18, 1923, in Arkansas, son of Benjamin and Zonnie McGlown Garrett. He and Helen Hubbard were married March 13, 1944, in Wayne County, Mich.

Garrett was employed by the city of Bell City.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Ben Garrett of Dover, Del., Tom Garrett of Michigan, James Garrett of Jackson; five daughters, Geraldine Thompson of Bowling Green, Ky., Kathryn Garrett of Arnold, Patricia Murray of Dudley, Paula James of Nebraska, Charlene Urhan of Ft. Leonard Wood; a brother, Ray Cope of Arkansas; a sister, Maxine Haynes of Leachfield, Ark.; 29 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Bell City.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
