Jacob Estes

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Jacob E. Estes, 53, of Sikeston died Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at his home.

He was born June 15, 1950, in Mississippi County, Mo., son of Lyman Aaron and Delphia Raines Estes. He and Sharon Diane House were married June 4, 1981. She died Nov. 23, 1994.

Formerly of Charleston, Mo., he had lived in Sikeston a number of years and was a member of Smith Avenue Church of God.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary and Donna Estes of Sikeston; a stepdaughter, Clara "Kathy" Shaw of Sikeston; two brothers, Roy Estes of Sikeston, Jerry Estes of Mounds, Ill.; three sisters, Mabel Gardner of Cunningham, Tenn., Faye Villars of Royal, Ark., Karen Skinner of Boaz, Ky., Debbie Estes of Goreville, Ill.; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Ira Sandefer officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
