CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Jackson Charles Nanney, 77, of Chaffee died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 15, 1927, in Bollinger County, Mo., son of James Roscoe and Annie Perry Nanney. He and Anna Mae Sadler were married April 26, 1947. He and Barbara Goforth were married March 31, 1976.
Nanney was a retired mechanic and maintenance worker for Chaffee Housing Authority.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Jackson Nanney Jr. of Chaffee; four daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Mick Owens and Billie and Ron Davis of Chaffee, Judith and Calvin Cardin of Portageville, Mo., Pam and Bert Wilson of St. Louis; three stepsons, Ed Lowry of Pevely, Mo., Billy Lowry of Festus, Mo., Robert Ship of House Springs, Mo.; two stepdaughters, Donna Lowry and Gina Odom of Hillsboro, Mo.; two sisters, Pearl Kinder of Allenville, Loretta Harris of Delta; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 12 stepgrandchildren.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 7 p.m. today at the chapel, with the Revs. Dan Baggett and Wayne Kinder officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Union Park Cemetery.
