PARAGOULD, Ark. -- Jackie May, 43, of Paragould, Ark., formerly of Thebes, Ill., died Friday, June 8, 2001, at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould.
He was born March 19, 1958, at Granite City, Ill., son of Alguquine "Jack" and Ruby Ilene Bridges May. He and Sheila Strickland were married.
May was a member of the New Antioch Baptist Church in Paragould, the American Rifle Association and worked on construction.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Jackie May Jr. of Olive Branch, Ill.; a daughter, Natashia Imparato of Thebes; a stepdaughter, Amanda Boling of Paragould; four sisters, Linda Bevens of Thebes, Willa Simmons of McClure, Ill., Dixie Reed of Prince Village, Mo., and Barbara Bailey of Olive Branch; four brothers, Ronnie May of Mesa, Ariz., Cecil, Robert and Thomas May, all of Thebes; a grandchild; and four stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill., from 5 p.m. today and until service on Monday.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Darrell Faire will officiate, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery in Thebes.
