BERTRAND -- Funeral service for Jackie Lee Groves of Bertrand will be held at 1 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Bill Meeks will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Groves, 61, died Monday, March 10, 1997, at his home.

He was born July 13, 1935, in Wyatt, son of William Carter and Althea Singleton Groves.

Groves was a retired farmer.

Survivors include two brothers, W.C. "Dub" Groves of Bertrand, Billy Groves of Farmington; two sisters, Ola McClanahan of Sikeston, and Lucille Groves of Bertrand.

He was preceded in death by a sister.
