Jack David Watson, 70, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 1997, at Missouri Veterans Home.
He was born Feb. 3, 1926, in Lebanon, Mo., son of Paul and Bessie Marie Ozellis Watson.
Watson came to Cape Girardeau in 1963 and opened Scott's Shoe Stores in Cape Girardeau and surrounding area. While in Cape Girardeau he was a member of First Baptist Church and a Masonic Lodge. He left here in 1980, returning recently to the Veterans Home.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte of Lebanon; five sons, David Watson of Farmington, Bob, Bruce and Doug Watson of Cape Girardeau, Steve Watson of Lebanon; his mother of Lebanon; two brothers, Paul Watson of Columbia, William Watson of Bossier City, La.; and 12 grandchildren.
A Masonic service will be held at 7 tonight at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon, with visitation to follow.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gary Longenecker and Dr. Robert Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery.
