ANNA, Ill. -- Jack Stuber, 69, of Elmwood, Tenn., formerly of Anna, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, at University Medical Center in Lebanon, Tenn.

He was born March 9, 1939, in Cobden, Ill. He and Ruth Ann Tucker were married June 14, 1962.

Stuber retired from John Deere Tractor Works in Waterloo, Iowa. He was a member of Chestnut Mound United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of AMVETS Post 60 in Arcadia, Fla.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, John Stuber of Winchester, Ky., Jeffrey Stuber of Salem, Ore.; a daughter, Jacqueline Thomas of Elmwood; two sisters, Phyllis Vaughn of Anna, Bonnie Hernandez of Belleville, Ill.; a brother, John Stuber of DeSoto, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Crain Funeral Home in Anna.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with John Shelton officiating. Greg Thomas will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in Casper Cemetery.
