Jack R. Gleason, 54, of 2505 Melrose, died Saturday, May 2, 1992 at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Nov. 4, 1937 in Cape Girardeau, son of John and Nina M. Reynolds Gleason.
He married Janet Snyder on July 30, 1962. She survives.
He was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church, where he was on the finance committee, a past board member of the Gospel Music Association, a former director of the Family Learning Center, a member of the Fraternal Order of Kentucky Colonials and a member of the VFW. He was an Army veteran.
He was employed by Cape Transit Company and was a district manager for the Chromolley Co. For the past 10 years he was a business representative for the Craftsman Union.
Other survivors are one son, Doug Gleason and one daughter, Georgia Ozment, both of Cape Girardeau; and five grandchildren. Two brothers preceded him in death.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Ford & Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Bethany Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
