MARBLE HILL -- Jack Laxton, 56, of Grassy, Mo., died Sunday, March 21, 1993, at the Bond Nursing Care Center.
He was born on July 27, 1936, at East Prairie.
On April 2, 1955, he married Georgia Head.
Laxton was a retired truck driver. He moved to Southeast Missouri in 1982 from Arizona.
He was a member of the Grace Fellowship Church of Marble Hill.
Survivors include his wife; his mother and step-father, James and Ruth Laxton Gilbert of Keyesport, Ill.; three sons, Ray Laxton of Chicago, Ill., Darrel Laxton of Grassy, Wade Laxton of Grassy; a daughter, Deborah Musick of Sarasota, Fla.; a brother, James Gilbert Jr., of Union, Mo.; four sisters, Betty Skaer and Sandra Enis of the state of Illinois, Earlene Sams of the state of California, Roxanne Riese of the state of Wisconsin; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons and a grandson.
Friends may call after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, with the Rev. Gary England, the Rev. Perry Lily and Mark Freeman officiating.
Burial will follow in Union Hill Cemetery near Zalma.
